Cusco Vaginal Speculum Medium with Folding Handles Stainless Obstetrical & Gynecology Instruments

Cusco Vaginal Speculum Medium is a gynecological double-bladed instrument used for vaginal and cervical examinations. It has a jaw that opens up like a duckbill. It is preferred in cryosurgery because it protects the anterior and posterior vaginal walls. Cusco Speculum is preferred for some procedures like cryotherapy since it protects both the anterior and posterior vagina walls. It also acts as the vaginal wall retractor.

HOW TO USE:
The speculum is lubricated (with lubricating jelly) and inserted with the blades closed and parallel to the labia. Once the speculum has been inserted into the vagina it is rotated and then opened. The cervix should pop into view as the speculum blades are opened. If the cervix is not seen then some gentle adjustment of the position of the speculum may reveal the cervix. If the cervix is not seen after gentle manipulation then withdraw the speculum.
